The Board of Directors of the Linux Professional Institute wishes to announce that Evan Leibovitch has decided to resign as President and resign as a member of the Board of Directors. Evan has made a great contribution to LPI over the years but he has decided it is time to pursue other opportunities. We wish Evan the best in all his future endeavours. Evan’s new contact email address is: evan@telly.org.

With Evan’s departure, the LPI Board of Directors has appointed a three-person Office of the CEO (OCEO) to provide interim executive leadership for the organization. This Office of the CEO is composed of Jim Lacey, Gen Narui and Dan York and chaired by Jim. Jim and Gen are both current members of the LPI Board of Directors and Gen is also the President of the LPI-Japan affiliate. Dan was one of the original founders of LPI and was the initial President.

The six-month charter of the OCEO is to work with LPI’s staff, partners and affiliates to continue their ongoing activities and to establish the framework for the search for a new CEO for the organization. If you have any questions about these changes, you may contact us at pr@lpi.org.
